α. And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto Spiritual,
but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ. (3:1)
β. I have fed you with milk, and not with solid food:
for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. (3:2)

ο. for whereas among you are envying, and strife, and divisions,
are ye not carnal, and walk as men? (3:3)
ω. For while one saith, “I am of Paul”; and another, “I am of Apollos”;

β. I have planted, Apollos watered,

ο. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one:
and each shall receive his own reward

α. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder,
I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
β. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. (3:10)
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (3:11)
Now if any man build upon this foundation
ς. t gold, silver; precious stones, wood; hay, stubble; (3:12)
every man’s work shall be made manifest:
for the day shall declare it,
Ο. ξ. t ζ. because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. (3:13)
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. (3:14)
η. t If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:
but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire. (3:15)
ο. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (3:16) (cf. 6:19)
ω. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (3:17)

If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world,
β. j let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (3:18)
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
ξ. For it is written, HE TAKETH THE WISE IN THEIR OWN CRAFTINESS [Job 5:13]. (3:19)
Ω. t And again, THE LORD KNOWETH THE THOUGHTS OF THE WISE, THAT THEY ARE VAIN [Ps. 93:11]. (3:20)
ο. Thus let no one boast in men.
For everything is yours; (3:21)
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas — or the world;

α. And these things, brethren, I have figuratively applied to myself and to Apollos for your sakes;

'' that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. (4:6)

ο. and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?
'' ω. now if thou didst receive it,
'' why dost thou boast as if thou hadst not received it? (4:7)

β. a fornicator, or a coveter,

ο. or a drunkard, or a robber;

PART Α. — On not suing each other.
α. Dare any of you, having a matter against another,
'' β. go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? (6:1)

'' ο. and if the world shall be judged by you,
ω. are ye unworthy of the smallest judgments? (6:2)
1. Know ye not that we shall judge angels?

1. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you?

10’. But brother goeth to be judged with brother,

α. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you,
'' β. because ye conduct judgments one with another.

'' why do ye not rather suffer to be defrauded? (6:7)

α₁. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived:

ο. nor men that play feminine sexual roles, j ο’. nor revilers,

α. Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ?
β. shall I then take the members of Christ,
and make them the members of an harlot?

ο. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body?

β. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;

1. What? know ye not that your body is the temple

1. Defraud ye not one the other,

1. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. (7:6)

1. For the faithless husband is sanctified by the wife,

Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. (7:27)

1. But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin,

1. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart,

10. So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well;

α. The wife is bound by the Torah as long as her husband liveth;
j β. but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will;

10. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?

χ. tj χ. For ye can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted. (14:31)
Ω. j ο. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. (14:32)
ω. For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints [assemblies of holy ones]. (14:33)
α. Let your women in the churches keep silence:
β. for it is not permitted unto them to talk,
ο. t' χ. but to subject themselves, as also saith the Torah. (14:34)
ο. And if they will to learn anything, at home let them inquire of their husbands:
ω. for it is a shame for women to talk in church. (14:35)
α. What? did the word of God come out from you?
or did it arrive unto you only? (14:36)
β. If anyone think to be a prophet, or Spiritual,
'' let him acknowledge
ω. jj χ. that the things I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. (14:37)
ο. But if anyone be ignorant,
'' let him be ignorant. (14:38)
ω. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak other languages. (14:39)
Let all things be done becomingly and in order. (14:40)
PART Ϛ.
α. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I evangelized unto you,
β. which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (15:1)
Ϛ. '' ξ. By which also ye are saved,
ο. if ye hold fast the word I evangelized unto you,
ω. unless ye have been faithful in vain. (15:2)
α₁. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
ς. how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (15:3)
α₁₀. ζ. And that he was buried,
η. and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (15:4)
β. 1. And that he was seen of Cephas,
10. then of the twelve: (15:5)
ς. After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;
Ζ. χ. j ζ. of whom the greater part remain unto this present,
η. but some are fallen asleep. (15:6)
ο. 1. After that, he was seen of James;
10. then of all the apostles. (15:7)
ω₁₀. And last of all, as though having to be ripped from the womb,
ω₁. he was seen of me also. (15:8)
ς. For I am the least of the apostles,
α. '' ζ. who am not fit to be called an apostle,
η. because I persecuted the church of God. (15:9)
β. But by the grace of God I am what I am:
Η. '' χ. and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain;
''but I laboured more abundantly than they all:
ο. yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (15:10)
ς. Therefore whether it were I or they,
ω. t ζ. so we preach,
η. and so ye have been faithful. (15:11)

PART Ζ.
ς. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead,
j how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? (15:12)
ς. ζ. But if there be no resurrection of the dead,
tt then is Christ not risen: (15:13)
η. And if Christ be not risen,
jj then is our preaching vain, and your faithfulness is also vain. (15:14)
ς. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God;
j' because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ:
Ϛ. ζ. t ζ. whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. (15:15)
j' For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: (15:16)
η. And if Christ be not raised, your faithfulness is vain;
tj ye are yet in your sins. (15:17)
α. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. (15:18)
β. If in this life only we have hope in Christ,
η. χ. we are of all men most miserable. (15:19)
ο. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and
ω. become the firstfruits of them that slept. (15:20)

ς. For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (15:21)
ζ. For as in Adam all die,
ς. even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (15:22)
But every man in his own order:
η.tt Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. (15:23)
α. Then is the end,
β. when he shall have delivered the kingdom over to God, even the Father;
Ζ. t ζ. jt χ. when he shall have done away with all rule and all authority and power. (15:24)
ο. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. (15:25)
ω. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (15:26)
α. For ALL THINGS HATH HE SUBJECTED UNDER HIS FEET [Ps. 8:6].
β.jBut when it saith all things are subjected,
obviously he is excepted, which did subject all things under him. (15:27)
η. t χ. And when all things shall be subjected unto him,
ο.tthen shall the Son himself also be subjected
unto him which subjected all things under him,
ω. that God may be all in all. (15:28)

ς. Else what shall they do which are baptized in the name of departed faithful,
α. t ζ. if the dead rise not at all?
η. why are they then baptized in the name of departed faithful? (15:29)
ς. And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? (15:30)
β. t ζ. I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord,
η. I die daily. (15:31)
ς. If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus,
Η. χ. t ζ. what advantageth it me,
η. if the dead rise not?
ς. LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE [Is. 22:13]. (15:32)
ο. t ζ. Be not deceived:
η. “Evil communications corrupt good manners” [Menander]. (15:33)
ς. Awake to righteousness, and sin not;
ω. t ζ. for some have not the knowledge of God:
η. I speak to your shame. (15:34)

But someone will say,
ς. “How are the departed faithful raised up?
and with what body do they come?” (15:35)
Fool,
ζ. that which thou sowest is not given life,
ς. ''' unless it die: (15:36)
and that which thou sowest,
thou sowest not that body that shall be,
η. ' but a bare kernel, perchance of wheat, or of some other plant: (15:37)
but God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him,
and to every seed its proper body. (15:38)
Ϛ.
ς. All flesh is not the same flesh:
ζ. ζ. but there is a flesh of men, another of beasts,
η. another of fishes, and another of birds. (15:39)
ς. There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies:
but the glory of the celestial is different from that of the terrestrial. (15:40)
η. There is a glory of the sun,
ζ. 'and another glory of the moon,
and another glory of the stars:
η. for star differeth from star in glory. (15:41)
tj So also is the resurrection of the departed faithful.

1. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (15:42)
ς. '' 10. it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory:
10’. it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: (15:43)
1’. it is sown a natural [ψυχικόν] body; it is raised a Spiritual body.
ς. There is a natural [ψυχικόν] body,
and there is a Spiritual body. (15:44)
ζ. ζ. And so it is written, THE first MAN ADAM BECAME A LIVING SOUL [ψυχὴν] [Gen. 2:7];
Ζ. the last Adam, a life-creating Spirit. (15:45)
η. Howbeit that was not first which is Spiritual, but that which is natural [ψυχικόν];
tj and afterward that which is Spiritual. (15:46)
ς. The first man is of the earth, dusty:
the second man is the Lord from heaven. (15:47)
η. ζ. As is the dusty, such are they also that are dusty:
and as is the celestial, such are they also that are celestial. (15:48)
η. And as we have borne the image of the dusty,
t we shall also bear the image of the celestial. (15:49)

Now this I say, brethren,
α. 1. that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
10. neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (15:50)
ς. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed, (15:51)
in a moment,
β. ζ. in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump:
for it shall trumpet,
η. and the departed faithful shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed. (15:52)
1. For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
Η. χ. j 10. and this mortal put on immortality. (15:53)
1’. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
10’. and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
ς. then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY [Is. 25:8]. (15:54)
O DEATH, WHERE IS THY STING?
ο. ζ. t O GRAVE, WHERE IS THY VICTORY? [Hos. 13:14] (15:55)
The sting of death is sin;
and the strength of sin is the Torah. (15:56)
η. But thanks be to God,
which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (15:57)
Therefore, my beloved brethren,
ω.t1. be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
10. forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (15:58)
α. Now concerning the collection for the saints,
as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. (16:1)
β.''Upon the first day of the week let each of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him,
so that when I come, there be no collections occurring then. (16:2)
Α. χ. And when I arrive,
ο. whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters,
them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. (16:3)
ω.tAnd if it be meet that I go also,
they shall go with me. (16:4)

ο. I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus:
for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. (16:17)

therefore acknowledge ye them that are such. (16:18)
